Venue Terms of Service

Last updated: Loading...

These Terms form a binding agreement between Loople ("we", "us") and you as the operator of a venue ("Venue", "you") using the Loople Venue Portal at venues.theloople.com ("Service"). By registering an account or paying the listing fee, you agree to these Terms.

1. About Loople

Loople is trading name of Loople Ltd, registered in England & Wales, contact support@theloople.com. Governing law: laws of England & Wales.

2. What Loople does

Loople is a video-first dating platform that lets its adult users ("Daters") match, chat, video-call, and book real dates at partner venues. As a Venue, you list your business on Loople so Daters can discover and book with you.

3. Your account

4. Listing fee

An annual listing fee of £30 (GBP) per year is due when you activate your Venue on the Loople consumer app, and again each year on the anniversary of activation. This fee is:

Publishing your Venue on the Loople consumer app is blocked until the listing fee is paid.

5. Payments & commission (Stripe Connect)

5.1 How payments flow

Loople uses Stripe Connect to process Dater booking deposits. To receive payouts, you must complete the "Connect payouts" onboarding step in your portal — Stripe will collect your bank details, verify your identity, and create a Stripe Connected Account linked to your Venue. Until this is complete, Daters cannot pay a deposit to your Venue.

By connecting your Stripe account, you also agree to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement and the Stripe Services Agreement.

5.2 Commission (Loople's application fee)

Loople charges a platform commission on booking deposits paid by Daters via Stripe, deducted automatically at the moment of payment as a Stripe "application fee":

The remaining balance (the deposit minus Loople's commission) is transferred directly to your Stripe Connected Account. Stripe then pays out to your bank account on the schedule you configure in Stripe (typically T+7 rolling for a new UK account).

The remainder of the bill (i.e. anything above the deposit) is settled by the Dater directly with your Venue on arrival — Loople takes no share of this on-site revenue.

We reserve the right to change commission rates with 30 days' written notice; any change will not apply to bookings already made.

5.3 Merchant of record

For each booking transaction, the Venue is the merchant of record for the goods and services it provides (i.e. the reservation and any on-site consumption). Loople is the merchant of record only for its own commission portion. This means:

5.4 Refunds & chargebacks

5.5 Annual listing fee (recap)

The £30/year listing fee (see Section 4) is separate from booking deposit commission and is not routed through Stripe Connect — it is paid directly to Loople Ltd.

5.6 Loople Duo group bookings

Loople Duo lets two dating couples book a double-date together (4 people). The total deposit is split into 4 equal shares, and any one of the 4 daters may pay a share on behalf of another (e.g. covering a friend who's short on time) — this does not change the total deposit collected or your commission, which is still calculated on the full deposit at the Duo rate (24%, see 5.2).

Loople Duo's £5.99/month subscription and the £5 video-call top-up are separate consumer products billed directly between Loople and the Dater (via the App Store, Google Play, or Stripe). They are not part of your venue commission, payouts, or invoices.

6. Your obligations as a Venue

7. Booking cancellations

Loople operates a standard platform-wide cancellation policy on every booking (individual Venues may adopt this policy but cannot impose stricter or more lenient terms without prior written approval from Loople):

8. Third-party integrations

If you choose to connect your Epos Now account via the Loople portal, you authorise Loople to:

Your Epos Now credentials are stored encrypted at rest. You can disconnect at any time.

9. Data protection

When Loople sends Dater contact details to your systems (e.g. via Epos Now CRM push), you become an independent data controller for that data under UK GDPR. You must:

Full details on how Loople itself handles data are in our Privacy Policy.

10. Content on your listing

You grant Loople a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display the photos, descriptions, and menu content you upload for the sole purpose of running the Loople service and promoting your Venue on Loople. You warrant that you own or have permission to use all content you upload.

13. Complaints & disputes
